Merano 2000 in summer
Merano 2000 is hardly called the "sun terrace of Merano" for nothing. In summer, the area offers a varied network of trails for hikers of all kinds. The offer ranges from easy to moderately difficult hikes, circular hikes and panoramic trails, from alpine pasture hikes suitable for prams to challenging summit tours. Those looking for the next adrenaline rush will also find what they are looking for: Bikers, mountaineers, horseback riders, climbers and paragliders enjoy numerous possibilities. Kids have fun at the Outdoor Kids Camp or at the Alpine Bobsleigh, which is in operation summer and winter.
Merano 2000 in winter
Winter bliss, as it is written in the book! The winter at Merano 2000 is just as varied as the summer. Numerous winter sports can be practised here - surrounded by a very beautiful winter panorama. 40 kilometres of perfectly groomed slopes invite skiers and snowboarders to go downhill. The first attempts on one or two boards take place at the Outdoor Kids Camp: Beginners and children can make their first experiences on the snow here, supported by a team of competent ski instructors. In addition, winter hiking trails and cross-country skiing trails provide the perfect backdrop for a spectacular snowshoe hike or cross-country skiing tour.
The skiing and hiking area Merano 2000 is only a stone's throw away from the Classic Hotel Meranerhof! Take the Merano public buses (no. 1A, no. 225) to the valley station of the Merano 2000 cable cars. The largest cable car in South Tyrol takes you to Merano's sun terrace in just 7 minutes.
