As a partner hotel of the Thermal Baths in Meran, we know exactly how everything works – many of our guests visit regularly during their stay.
Only 2 minutes walking distance: easily reachable via the Passer promenade
Quietest times: weekdays between 9:00–10:30 AM and after 6:30 PM
Guests visit 2–3 times on average: especially during longer stays
10% advantage & direct access: tickets are issued directly at our hotel
Our top tip: use the sauna & spa area – much quieter than the pool area
Is the Merano Thermal Baths worth visiting?
From our experience: absolutely – especially if you choose the right time.
The thermal baths combine modern architecture, alpine views and spacious wellness areas. In summer, the outdoor thermal park adds even more value.
Important:
It can get crowded on weekends, rainy days and holidays. During Christmas time, only 3-hour tickets are sometimes available.
When is the best time to visit?
Based on our experience:
Morning: 9:00 – 10:30 AM
Evening: after 6:30 PM
Avoid:
weekends
rainy days
holidays
Tip: early morning or evening visits make a big difference.
Sauna vs pools – what is better?
Most visitors stay in the pool area – which is why it’s usually more crowded.
Our recommendation: choose the sauna & spa area.
quieter
less crowded
adults-only atmosphere
Combined with our hotel spa, the experience becomes significantly more relaxing.
How far are the thermal baths from the hotel?
The Merano Thermal Baths are only 2 minutes walking distance from the Classic Hotel Meranerhof.
The route along the Passer promenade is flat and very pleasant.
Our recommended thermal day plan
Morning: visit the thermal baths (quiet times)
Midday: return to hotel or lunch in town
Afternoon: relax in the hotel spa
Evening: dinner at the hotel
This combination ensures maximum relaxation.
